June 9

We visited a friend of Bob Dick's- Jack Lasley.  He sang opera and taught dance after he got out of the marines.  He served during the Korean War.  Now he gardens and takes care of his 8 or 9 cats.

Since we stayed in a Chinese area of LA we didn't know where to find a church close by so we watched the Sycamore Pres. service on Livestream.  It was nice to be at our home church again.  We then drove to San Gabriel, took the self-guided tour, but had to wait to see the chapel as they had mass in there.

San Juan Capistrano was very busy.  It reminded us of Busch Gardens Italy.  Someone was even shooting wedding pictures there.
