June 5

Today was a full day of visiting missions.  There are 21 missions along the Camino Real.  Junipero Serra started many of him and his statue is seen in them.

San Luis de Obispo was in the middle of town.  It has a nice museum and the grounds are beautiful and inviting.  The chapel has beautiful artwork and is in an L shape.

San Miguel Archangel is still used for novitiates.  It was very hot, dry and sunny.  The only things that grew well were cactus.
